Led by Environmental Hygienist Jeff Charlton
Building Forensics is led by founder and principal consultant Jeff Charlton, an experienced environmental hygienist specialising in contamination, disaster recovery and building-related environmental concerns.
Jeff’s career began with an engineering foundation followed by work in medical physics and nuclear medicine at St George’s Hospital. His experience later expanded into military instruction, environmental hazard management and international disaster recovery.
He has led complex decontamination and restoration projects in the UK and overseas, including work involving government buildings and high-risk environments following the Gulf War.
Jeff was also a founding force behind the British Damage Management Association and contributed to the development of standards and professional practices within the damage management and restoration industry.
His professional background includes membership of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health and internationally recognised environmental and restoration certifications.
